Welcome back to the final half term of the academic year and I hope you all enjoyed the half term break.
There are lots of exciting events planned for the children over the next 6 weeks.
We have started the half term with a focus on ‘Keeping ourselves and others safe’ This week we have had a visit from PCSO Laura Harper to explore how we keep ourselves safe on the internet and also a visit from Stuart, Russ and Phil from Gist to teach us all about road safety. Next week we will continue our work with the NSPCC’s ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ project. It would be great if you could ask your child(ren) about these workshops at home.
You will have noticed that the building work has started on the Centre of Excellence and the copse has been cut back ready for our new sports pitch to be laid. We’re delighted that we will still have plenty of space for our annual Sports Day and children will have lots of opportunities for out door PE this half term.
I am pleased to share some lovely news, Mrs Walker is expecting her first baby in the Autumn
