The school this week has had a wonderful smell of baking as classes were preparing for todays “Hob Moor Oaks Christmas Bake Off”. All classes are making a showstopper contribution and these will be judged by Maureen and Gwen who retired from Hob Moor Oaks at Easter. We will stream the judging of the Bake off virtually so that classes are able to hear the judges feedback!
This morning in assembly we shared a video from Reverend Simon Biddlestone about Christingle, following assembly classes will have the opportunity to make their own Christingles. Last week we began sharing our daily “Hob Moor Oaks Makaton Advent Calendar” on our school Twitter account @hobmooroaks
I hope that you have all enjoyed seeing your child’s class Christmas production video this week when they were shared on Tapestry, they were fantastic to watch, and a huge well done and thank you to all the pupils and staff for all of their hard work. We look forward to classes sharing the whole production together next week. Just a reminder that we have only shared these via tapestry with parents of pupils in each class. We must stress that these videos must not be shared via social media or any other platform, this is the same request that we make to families when they are in school. There are children who are unable to have photos or videos displayed out of school, due to parent request or as they are adopted, fostered or looked after.
Next week will be a very busy week in school, you should have received a letter with an update around Christmas parties and other exciting things which we have planned before we finish for the Christmas holidays.
As part of our Y6 pupil transition Andy Kemp will also be based with us to help him get to know our pupils and work with Laura on their transition plans .
