Welcome back to all our wonderful children! We’ve had a busy week to start the summer term. Class teams have planned ‘ignition days’ to ignite the theme and make learning opportunities real, realistic and fun! I’m sure you will have enjoyed looking at Tapestry. We’ve had visits to Flamingo Land and The Sea Life Centre for some of our classes.
You will have seen on Twitter that Oak Trees represented Hob Moor Oaks in the Yorkshire Pentathlon Final and came second! The children were very proud of their silver medals! What a great achievement, well done team Oak Trees!
Becky Thompson, hairdresser is offering hair cutting services on Monday 13th May in the morning if you would like to contact Becky on 07793432898 to arrange this and request a permissions letter from class teams.
Apologies for the change of date for Sports Day, I hope this hasn’t caused too much disruption. We have our fingers crossed for good weather!
I am pleased to share that we welcomed 20 members of Streamline staff to our SEN Awareness Training, this included effective communication, behaviour, 10 top HMO travel tips, pushing wheelchairs, sharing information. We aim to offer this training to our NYCC and ERYC transport companies in the future.
The Community Hub is a great meeting place for parents, I attend and we discuss top topic regarding school, I am keen to set up a Selby based hub in the summer term to support links with school – watch out for letters of invitation soon.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend!
